Water, oil and alcohol

 

 

Description: The animation takes up the experience Marie Curie gave to children. It is tested for miscibility with alcohol, water and oil. By pouring 1. alcohol 2. oil 3. water, we can make a sphere of oil float in the middle of a water / alcohol mixture.

 

Definition

Miscibility: Miscibility is the property of two substances to mix in all proportions, forming a homogeneous solution.
